Internet-based Demonstrations

Clinical DataFax Systems Inc. is pleased to offer internet-based demonstrations to potential clients that are interested in a more in-depth review of DataFax. In an internet-based demonstration, the desktop of a live, DataFax installation (hosted by a user at our offices) is made available for you to view in real-time on your computer. At the same time, audio is provided via telephone between yourself and the DataFax user hosting the demonstration. For large groups, we recommend that you screen project the demo and use a speaker phone for the audio.

A typical demonstration is 90 minutes to 2 hours in duration.

To arrange a demonstration, please contact us via email, info@datafax.com. We generally require at least one week advance notice to schedule a demonstration.

Requirements for an Internet-based DataFax Demonstration

Clinical DataFax Systems Inc. uses VNC as a desktop server and client for the internet-based demonstration. To view the demonstration, the free VNC viewer must be installed on a computer and then connected to the demonstration with the provided connection and password information.

  1. The client machine should be able to display at least 1024x768 pixels.
  2. Obtain and run the VNC client executable. The executable can be downloaded free of charge from http://www.realvnc.com/download.html.
  3. When prompted by the VNC client, enter the server name vncdemo.datafax.com:1 and then click on the Options box. Select the Display - View Only and Display - Full Screen mode boxes. Click OK. This will return you to the VNC server screen. Click OK.
  4. A password dialog will appear. Type in the password that will be given to you in advance of the demonstration.
  5. The DataFax desktop will appear. Enjoy the demo.
  6. The person giving the demo will contact you via phone.
  7. To exit VNC press Control-ESC ESC. The windows taskbar will appear. Right click on the VNC task box. Select Exit.
